Mariner Media

This is Simone Westerlund's first year as a reporter and Opinions Editor for The Rising Tide. Westerlund is a senior at Sehome, and she is involved in six different clubs including: ASB, Model UN, leading Photography Club, National Spanish Honor Society, Club de Lectura, and Teen Court. Westerlund is super prideful of Sehome and strides to lead others in her Sehome community. She hopes to help build a strong foundation with other Sehome students to our first full year at the new Sehome High School.

After 3:15, Westerlund is spending time with her younger siblings, hiking with friends, at one of her clubs, or working on college applications. Westerlund is looking to apply to seven different schools her senior year. She is looking forward to college next year, and hopes to travel the world in her sophomore year while she is studying abroad. In Journalism this year, she hopes to lead her reporters with strong skills of empathy and honesty to help keep students involved in the happenings within the Sehome Community.
