The scream fair is also a big activity to do this October, located at the Lynden Fair Grounds you can walk into one of the barns. They turn the barn into maze you have to go through in the dark. In the maze they have actors dressed up to scare you and chase you through the maze. This is open until Halloween so make sure to go quick because it won’t be back till next year.

Hikes:

Go outside in the fall and go for a hike, even though the weather isn’t perfect for it is still fun to get outside and walk through nature. There are many hikes to do in Whatcom county. One of the most popular hikes in Southern Bellingham is Oyster Dome. This six mile hike isn’t easy but it is very worth it, especially for the view, you’ll be able to see all the fall colors. There are also some smaller hikes that are very beautiful like the Fragrance Lake hike. By Lake Whatcom, there is a hike up to the power lines which takes around one hour total. Galbraith mountain offers beautiful hikes and biking trails that provide amazing views.
